Effect
- Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./lvl)
- Target or Area: all creatures in target area (friend or foe), in a space defined below.
- Duration: Instantaneous
- Saving Throw: Reflex partial

Description
- You call to the Green, seeking aid and illumination in the face of your enemies. The Green sends you lightning.
- Immediately upon completion of the spell you call down a savage vertical lightning bolt. This bolt affects a single square within range to which you have line of sight, and which has clear line of effect for at least thirty feet above it. If there is not 30 feet of unblocked vertical space above the target, then the spell fails and is wasted. The bolt of lightning deals (Circle 3 damage): 1d6 points of damage per character level (max 10d6 at character level 10) points of lightning (energy, common) to all creatures in the target square, and potentially to other targets in the thirty-foot space above, depending upon circumstances.
- At 11th level, the bolt increases in size, and now affects a 2x2 square and all spaces above that square. At 21st level, it affects a 3x3 square and all spaces above that square. At 31st level, it affects a 4x4 square, and all spaces above that square.
- This spell functions indoors or underground (if there are high ceilings) but not underwater.
