Casting

Casting Time: True Dweomers require a Full-Round Action to cast normally.
  • If your roll equals or exceeds a DC of 52, you Fast Cast it as a Standard Action.
  • If your roll is a non-1 result between 42 and 51, you cast it as a Full-Round Action, as normal.
  • If your roll is less than 42, or you roll a natural 1 on the die, the spell is cast at half damage, treated as though all targets succeeded on their saving throws, or it deals only half its effect.
  • True Dweomers can be cast as rituals, requiring a 1 hour casting time. The area of effect or number of targets is multiplied by 10. The range of the spell is doubled if it is longer than Touch.

Description

You chant the dirge, Working your will upon a bit of bone, burned and granted a hellmark. As your Dire Hymn reaches its end, you point a savage accusation at the target of your imprecations...and consign them to a horrible fate. The bit of bone darts forth, freighted with dark agonies, and rushes to send your victim to Hell.
Make a ray attack upon a target creature within range of this spell. You must have line of sight and line of effect, or your Dark Miracle fails. If you succeed in a ranged touch attack, your target suffers (Strata 2 damage): 1d6+8 points of damage per character level (max 35d6+280 at character level 35) of darkfire (energy, rare) damage, and is blasted out of reality for one round, suffering the Displaced condition. This condition, unless otherwise ended, persists for one round only, and at the beginning of the target's next action (which, depending upon timing, could be almost immediately), the Displaced condition is removed...and replaced with the Immolated condition inflicting yet more Darkfire damage. This Immolated condition persists until ended normally.
As a True Dweomer, this spell requires three spell slots to Mana Burn for each Strata increase, and cannot be sacrificed to Mana Burn any other spells of any type.
