Not just anybody can do this, you know. Well, okay, they can if they have this pattern. But otherwise...

Draconic Creature Pattern (+2 CR)

Subtype: add Draconic to subtypes

Draconic Creature is a pattern that can be added to any creature that has 'dragon' characteristics. Such creatures may be tainted by a Dragon's bloodline in their ancestry, or they may be ardent worshipers of a Dragon who have absorbed part of its power, or they may be henchmen with draconic gifts, or they may simply be creatures that have wings and a mighty battle howl that have a resemblance to Dragons by sheer happenstance.

The most common use of this pattern is to create armies of dragon-worshiping followers for those big, scary beasts to hang around with. If you want a dragon-centric adventure, or even a whole campaign, this Pattern is almost a must!

This creature has impressive wings and a ferocious demeanor, almost draconian in their fierceness!

Special Abilities

Battle Howl (Ex; Draconic Creature Pattern)

Once per encounter, as a standard action, a Draconic Creature may emit an ear-shattering howl. This is an area of effect attack, affecting all creatures partially or wholly within a 30 foot cone adjacent to the draconic creature's space. (Note that Draconic Creatures are resistant to Sonic damage, but not Immune.) The draconic creature must have line of effect to each victim for this power to operate, but it does not require line of sight. This power inflicts 1d4 points of sonic (energy, common) damage. Battle Howl allows a Fort save versus a DC of 14 in order to only take half damage.
