Gigantic (Armor Magic Property)

Enchant Cost: +5

A suit of armor with the Gigantic ability is almost comically oversized, though the effect is superficial and the interior fits a creature normally, with no adjustments necessary.

A creature wearing Gigantic armor is considered one size category larger for the purpose of using or being affected by special attacks that depend on size, such as swallow whole and trample. Thus, a size Small creature is considered size Medium for resisting combat maneuvers or being swallowed or moved around, while a size Medium creature is considered size Large for such purposes.

A creature wearing Gigantic armor adds 1000 pounds times the armor's enhancement bonus to their Light load, with corresponding increases to their other weight categories. Wearing Gigantic Armor means you can actually carry MORE weight, rather than less. A +5 suit of Gigantic Armor adds 5000 pounds to the wearer's light load, with corresponding increases for all other weight categories.

Once per day on command, the wearer can increase their size as if using Enlarge Person until the end of the current encounter, the end of the next encounter, or until they take a full night's rest (whichever occurs first). This actual increase in their size stacks with the massive bulk of the armor described above to make the wearer even more difficult to affect with powers such as swallow whole, etc. Thus a size Small character who activates this ability resists being swallowed as if they were size Large, while a size Medium character resists being swallowed whole as if they are size Huge.

In addition, once per encounter as a free action the wearer can add the armor's enhancement bonus to a single Might check or combat maneuver check, or to their Maneuver Defense against a single combat maneuver. Despite its great bulk, the armor check penalty of Gigantic armor is not changed by this property.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 43), a bright remnant (tier 3), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
