Headband of the Logician +4

CL 13 Headband Slot Item • Moderate Transmutation
Cost: 22,932 gp
Weight: 1 lbs.
Family: Headband of the Logician

This headband, unlike its lesser peers of similar enchantment, is quite beautiful. It is a twisted and knotted wirework made from truemetal, of intricate design. While it has no gems or bangles adorning it, the whorls and whimsy of the piece is still quite striking to the eye. Furthermore, it seems to quietly whisper to the wearer, imparting knowledge and wisdom long forgotten. It seems harmless enough, though. It's probably perfectly safe to listen to the voices.

Wearing this headband grants the wearer greater expertise with five different skills. Headbands of the logician are frequently sought out by ambassadors, guild masters, traveling merchants (who require diplomacy and local knowledge as much as they require barter), and of course, adventurers. Basically, anyone with a trade or career that requires a broad diversity of knowledge or expertise will find these headbands useful.

Since the bonus granted by the headband of the logician is an Enhancement Bonus, it cannot be stacked with other skill-boosting items boosting the same skill; instead, only the highest available boost is added to a given skill. You can, however, have multiple skill boosting items that affect different skills.

While worn, this headband grants the wearer a +4 Enhancement Bonus to five different skills, chosen at the time the headband is acquired. Once selected, the skill affected by the headband cannot be changed, even through the Reselection process. Instead, a new headband must be purchased.

The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 36 (10 + double CL)), Pale (tier 2) remnant, An item symbolic of the enchantment, 11,466 gp (minus cost of symbolic item).
