Special Abilities

Snapping Riposte (Ex) Automatic

Once per round, after being attacked (hit or miss) by a melee attack, the norker may make an immediate bite attack against the foe which attacked them. The foe must be within reach to use this ability.

  • Bite +6 (1d8+4/x2) as crushing (physical, common) damage.
Sneak Attack (Ex) Always On

Any time the Norker Skulk makes a melee attack against a foe who is either flat-footed or flanked, he may add 1d8+1 damage, as precision damage, to his overall attack damage. Precision damage is always of the same damage type as the weapon which delivers it (in this case, slashing (physical, common) damage).

Norker Skulk

Norker Skulk

Norkers are a degenerative subspecies of orc. They are fierce and cruel, but not as organized. They generally travel in packs, dominated by a single strong leader. The packs are rife with internal power struggles and petty bickering, but when confronted with a common foe, they all fall into enough order to make a reasonable nuisance of themselves.

They frequently travel with any orcs willing to take them in, and will eagerly follow orcs around like mean, feral puppies. Orcs tolerate norkers because they're so easily dominated, useful in a fight, and are easily overruled when it comes time to divvy up loot.

Norker Skulks are slightly more cunning than their brethren, preferring ambush attacks and unexpected backstabs. They are just as feral and mean as other norkers, but perhaps more craven.

Combat Tactics

Norker Skulks will hide and wait for the norkers to attack and set up flanks on their targets. They will use their sneak attack and snapping riposte abilities as often as they can manage. Lacking the mobility feat of their brethren, they will make use of stealth or acrobatics to avoid attacks of opportunity.

Unlike other norkers, norker skulks will sometimes flee from losing battles, unless their leader says otherwise.

Out of Combat

Norkers are low, mean, and vile things, even for monsters, and Skulks are among the worst of a bad lot. They have no morals, pride, nor ambition, and seek only to get the most they can for the least amount of effort. They sneak, thieve, and lie their way through life, gulling their less-capable brethren, serving as craven lickspittles to their betters, and generally willing to backstab, betray, or trick anyone at all if their dim awareness indicates to them that they can get a little ahead by doing so.
