Adept's Wand of Piercing

CL 10 Magic Wand • Moderate Enchantment
Cost: 20,000 gp
Weight: 0.5 lbs.
Family: Wand of Piercing

A wand of piercing is crafted from a branch of the highly-magical liegewood tree. Though carved simply, the wand's wood is highly polished, with a very tight grain and an amber colored wood. The bottom end of the wand is carved into a polyhedral shape that seems to have a different number of sides each time it is looked at, though you cannot ever see it changing.

This wand is favored by dualists, or casters who find themselves at odds with other magically-inclined beings. The wand is also fairly useful to weaker casters, or those who merely dabble in magic, as its bonuses are easily given to a wielder of nearly any profession.

An adept's wand of piercing grants the wielder a +2 circumstance bonus to bailiwick checks made to overcome a target's spell resistance when casting any 0th through 3rd level spell. This bonus increases by an additional +1 per 5 character levels of the wielder (dropping fractions; i.e. +3 at level 5, +4 at level 10, +5 at level 15, etc., to a maximum of +9 at level 35).

This magic item does not require an attunement period, and grants its benefits immediately upon being worn or wielded.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 30 (10 + double CL)), Pale (tier 2) remnant, An item symbolic of the enchantment, 10,000 gp (minus cost of symbolic item).
