Animal Affinity - Great

At Will: Standard Action (psychic)

Special: You may choose a totem animal from the following list: felines (lions to housecats), raptors (rocs to hawks), piscines (sharks to guppies), cetaceans (whales to dolphins), strigiformes (all owls), canines (dire wolves to family pets), reptiles (kimodos to frogs and skinks), serpents (all snakes). Once chosen, you cannot change your totem animal without referee permission, and the change must be campaign driven. If you would prefer a different totem animal class than one on the list, present this to the referee for approval beforehand.

Effect: If can detect one of your totem animals, and it is within 1 mile of you, you can concentrate (standard action) to project yourself into its senses, viewing the world through its senses. This effect lasts until you choose to end it. You are aware of your own body as well as the body of the animal you are seeing through. You can speak to the animal while projecting in this manner, and while you do not control the animal's actions, you can ask it to comply with your wishes. The animal always retains its free will, but will treat you as a trusted friend.

Effect: Animals of your chosen totem will always trust you, and will willingly sacrifice their lives for your well-being. They will not take suicidal actions unless they know that your life is endangered, however.

Daily: Standard Action

Target: Self

Effect: Once per day, you can transform into your totem animal. Doing so does not change your current hit points, but does change your physical stats as appropriate for your totem animal. You may stay in this form until you wish to revert to your normal form (or until an extended rest). Your clothing and gear do not transform with you.
