Glamered (Melee Weapon Magic Property)

Enchant Cost: +2

A glamered weapon can be commanded, as a standard action, to change its shape and appearance to assume the form of another object of similar size. A dagger can be made to appear as a necklace or comb, a sword can be made to seem as a cane or stick of firewood, a greatsword can appear as a wooden crutch or rolled up carpet, literally any appearance can be emulated perfectly.

The weapon retains all its properties (including weight) when so disguised but does not radiate magic and is impervious to detection. A glamered weapon in disguise but carried in the hand counts as proficiently wielded in all cases.

There is no known way to reveal the true nature of a glamered weapon while it is disguised, although the wielder gains no such boon, and must make skill checks or use magic to disguise themselves.

Even when a glamered weapon is disguised, it may still be used to attack without penalty, and the target is considered flat-footed against the attack. Once a glamered weapon is used to attack while disguised, this special ability is suppressed until the wielder spends a swift action to refresh it. Even then, this deception will only work on a given foe a maximum of once per encounter.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 23), a languid remnant (tier 1), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
