Gnashing damage is most commonly caused by a predator's powerful bite attacks. Bite attacks are a combination of piercing damage (from the pointy canine teeth), slashing damage (from the sharp incisor teeth), and bludgeoning damage (from the molars and the jaw's crushing force). Gnashing damage also includes a bit of chewing, grinding action, just to top things off.
