Description
- This poultice is made from brain fungus and Saint-John's Wort, along with other herbs and roots that boost knowledge and erudition. The plaster is mixed upon a page torn from a scholarly book. The holder of the poultice plasters it to their head or forehead, and the knowledge embodied within grants them knowledge about a creature type the holder has encountered in the last day, or during combat with an unidentified creature.
The holder of this poultice may make an immediate Knowledge check regarding that creature type with a +2 Arcane Bonus, +1 per 10 full character levels of the herbalist Ranger who made the poultice (dropping fractions; i.e. +3 at level 10, +4 at level 20, and +5 at level 30). The knowledge check is considered part of the same action as activating the poultice.
