This rod is in the shape of a glittering shaft of limpid transparent glass. It is capped with a ragged ball of glass, covered all over with marks where chips and conchoidal fractures have been knocked out of the surface. When activated, it pulls in the direction of the creature the wielder wishes to harm and makes a sound like a pinging chip has been struck from it as a burst of slivers dart forth.

Wielders of this rod can utter a command word as a standard action to cast a Diamond Spray spell, using up one charge from the rod.

When activated, this rod jerks in the direction of its target, then emits a burst diamond splinters as a ray attack, directed at any one creature within 30 feet of the wielders space to whom they have line of sight and line of effect. If the wielder succeeds in a ranged touch attack, the unfortunate victim suffers damage as indicated below as piercing (physical, common) damage, and suffers a Bleed equal to the creator level of the rod. If you miss the touch attack, there is no attack. There is no saving throw.

You can purchase this rod at a higher creator level than the minimum required to cast the spell. Doing so increases the potency of the spell as described above, but also increases the cost, as follows:
