Wand of Reaching

Magic Wand - Enchantment Aura

A wand of reaching appears made of a segmented reedy wood, similar to bamboo, its linear joints strengthening the wand while giving it a comfortable gripping surface. The wand is only about 11 inches in length, and a mere half-inch in diameter, though the wood's grain is tight, making it very resistant to bending, but also tough enough to endure such abuse.

Wands of reaching are favored among nearly all casters, but especially clerics and other magical healers, since their spells rely mostly on touch, while this wand allows them to exercise their power at a distance.

The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.

A novice's wand of reaching grants the wielder the ability to apply the effects of the Reach Spell (Feat) to any 1st or 2nd level spell, up to once per encounter, without increasing the spell level of the spell.

This wand, like the feat, cannot improve the range of a spell that is already 'long' range, nor can it alter the range of a spell with any other listed range besides touch, close, medium, or long (such as 'self').

The wielder must already possess the Reach Spell (Feat) to use this wand. Without the feat, the wand is unusable.

An adept's wand of reaching grants the wielder the ability to apply the effects of the Reach Spell (Feat) to any 1st through 3rd level spell, up to twice per encounter, without increasing the spell level of the spell. This wand may only be used once per round.

This wand, like the feat, cannot improve the range of a spell that is already 'long' range, nor can it alter the range of a spell with any other listed range besides touch, close, medium, or long (such as 'self').

The wielder must already possess the Reach Spell (Feat) to use this wand. Without the feat, the wand is unusable.
