A wand of widening is made of an oddly crystalline stone, except that the crystal pattern grows in circles instead of straight lines. The wand is carved to the shape of seven small circles that touch each other at opposite ends, almost like links of a chain, except that they are not interlocked, but simply stacked on one another. The stone is a creamy yellow color and is semi-translucent, making the wand quite pretty when seen in decent light conditions.

An adept's wand of widening grants the wielder the ability to apply the effects of the Widen Spell (Feat) to any 1st through 3rd level spell, up to twice per encounter without increasing the spell level of the spell. The wand cannot be used more than once in the same round, however.

The wielder must already possess the Widen Spell (Feat) to use this wand. Without the feat, the wand is unusable.

This magic item does not require an attunement period, and grants its benefits immediately upon being worn or wielded.
