Meridian Belt
The Meridian Belt is a tremendously powerful item which alters the flow of vital essence in the aura of the wearer. Attuning a Meridian Belt is a dizzying prospect, as the item 'cinches tight' the natural cycles of aura throughout and around the body of the wearer, and then rebuilds how your vital flows move and behave.
In effect, a Meridian Belt 'grafts' itself to your aura and splits the flows, tricking your aura into thinking that you have more Ring slots than you really do. While wearing an attuned Meridian Belt, the wearer may now Attune more than two Rings. In essence, the wearer stops wearing Rings on the auric representation of their haptic organs, and instead attunes Ring Slot items by placing them into the Meridian Belt.
Needless to say, this wholesale abuse of the Aura is controversial. Some say that Meridian Belts are unnatural abominations, against the natural order. Others note that such items are simply the next step in the usage of magic to enhance those with the Spark. Regardless of who is correct, the fact is that Meridian Belts work, and for many who seek greater power, are highly sought-after items.
Meridian Belts come in a huge array of materials and appearances, but they always have a number of small pockets integrated into their design. The various Rings the user wishes to Attune are placed in these pockets, rather than on their fingers. Given the strong reactions Meridian Belts provoke in many observers, most (although not all ) Meridian Belts are discrete items, with the pockets on the inside, out of sight. The wearer of a Meridian Belt must first spend 24 hours to Attune the Belt itself, and then an additional 24 hours to Attune each Ring placed within it. Once all items are Attuned, they can then switch between the various items with amazing speed, without losing attunement.
The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.
