You can channel your divine energy through a melee weapon you wield.

Prerequisites: Paladin 8, Channel Divinity class feature

Benefit: Before you make a melee attack roll, you can choose to spend one use of your channel divinity ability as a swift action.

  • If you channel positive energy and you hit an undead creature with that attack, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel divinity ability.
  • If you channel negative energy and you hit a living creature with that attack, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel divinity ability.
  • The target gets no save against this extra damage, unlike using channel divinity to damage creatures in an area around you.

Special: If your attack misses, the channel divinity ability is not expended. You may use this feat again with those same uses of your Channel ability, at the cost of another swift action.
