Condition Severity: Strong
Your worst fears lay exposed before you, and you can do nothing but await your inescapable doom.
Effects
- You cannot perform any actions except the Total Defense action.
- You may perform most free actions (such as making saving throws or talking), at the GM's discretion.
- This is a fear condition.
Ended By
If the ability, trap, or effect description includes specific directions for how the condition is ended, then that is the primary means of ending this condition. In many cases, it is the only way to end the condition. If nothing is specifically listed for ending the condition, then the following methods can be used to end it, instead:
- You may expend an Action Point to embrace your inner heroism, immediately ending the Frightened condition.
- Alternatively, an adjacent ally who is not afflicted with a fear condition may expend a standard action to shake some sanity back into you, immediately ending the Frightened condition.
- If not cleared, Frightened automatically ends at the end of the encounter.
