Gibbering Mouther
Gibbering Mouther (CR 14)
This amorphous aberration consists of a large blob of pink, scabby flesh saturated with dozens of toothy mouths and bloodshot eyes. The creature shambles about, staring in all directions at once and uttering a non-stop litany of curses, disturbingly violent imagery and terrible dark secrets.
First and foremost, the gibbering mouther is completely insane. It has little in the way of motives, but finds sentient creatures interesting enough to pay attention to them, much to their deep chagrin. Little is known about how gibbering mouthers came to be, why they exist, how they breed, what they eat, or really anything about their ecology. They are genuinely alien in these regards, requiring no apparent sustenance, and no evidence of young gibbering mouthers to imply some sort of reproductive cycle. Yet their species can be found in dungeons, sewers, and other humid, enclosed areas, though they've been known to wander into surprising places, like public bath houses, as well.

<special abilities should have a save DC 22>
<special attack damage (standard action): 7d6+1>
<special attack damage (aoe’s, swift actions or inflicting status effects): 3d6+3>
- Reality Melts
All spaces within 15 feet of the gibbering mouther's space are treated as rough terrain for all creatures who are not gibbering mouthers. These spaces revert to normal once the gibbering mouther moves.
- Gibbering
As a swift action, the gibbering mouther can issue a stream of maddening words at a creature within 30 feet, seeming to expose that character's deepest secrets, innermost fears and darkest emotions. That creature must make a Will save, DC 22, or become Disoriented for 1d4 rounds. This is a mind-affecting effect, but not specifically fear.
- Devouring Madness
As a standard action, the gibbering mouther can cause all enemies within 60 feet who are suffering from the Disoriented status condition to become covered in disembodied mouths which rip at their flesh and bite at their extremities. Affected creatures take 3d6+3 points of Primal (unblockable) damage and 2 points of CON damage. A Fortitude save, DC 22, negates the CON damage, but does not affect the Primal damage.

Combat Tactics
Gibbering mouthers are intrigued by sentient creatures, and are attracted to them. Once nearby, they will use their Gibbering ability to target a non-disoriented creature within range, and use bite attacks or their Spit ranged attack. Once several creatures are Disoriented, the Mouther will use its Devouring Madness ability to spam damage on those afflicted for as long as it can, adding new Disoriented creatures whenever it can.
Gibbering mouthers will always attack until they either defeat their prey or are themselves defeated, as they are too insane to consider retreating.
