Principle Auric Enhancer

Principle Auric Enhancer

CL 5 Armor Slot Item • Weak Enchantment
Cost: 30,000 gp
Weight: 5 lbs.
Family: Auric Enhancer

Auric Enhancers are finely made of cloth, leather, ceramics, jewels, and jewelry-type metals such as silver, gold, true silver, mithril, aurium, argent, and the like. They are always intricately made, but as their level increases, they become increasingly more finely detailed and ornate, although they are always worn close to the body (under clothes, in the Armor slot), so that they can interact most faithfully with the casters aura and lend their benefits. Their benefits are simple, but profound.

Any spell which is within the level range affected by the given Auric Enhancer has the number of targets that can be affected increased by 1.

AOE spells, obviously, do not gain any benefits from this device, since they have no target limit.

Because they occupy the Armor slot, Auric Enhancers cannot ever be worn with another Armor item. Furthermore, an Auric Enhancer's bonus to number of targets cannot be stacked with other items that increase number of targets, such as the Rod of Accessioning.

The principle auric enhancer allows the wielder to add one additional target to any spell they can cast of spell level 1, level 2, or level 3, which has a fixed number of targets greater than 1. This applies to the base spell level of the spell prior to any metamagic being applied to it (though spells which have been researched to always include one or more metamagics have a higher base spell level).

The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 20 (10 + double CL)), Languid (tier 1) remnant, An item symbolic of the enchantment, 15,000 gp (minus cost of symbolic item).
