Aurochs (Mount)

This large, battle-trained mount looks like a large, shaggy bull. Aurochs are an ancient species of cattle, with an appearance somewhere in between a domesticated bull and a buffalo. They can be very territorial when untrained, and their large, hulking size and massive horns can make them formidable opponents.

A Aurochs (Mount) grants its rider the following bonuses:

Mounted CR: 3

Size: Large (can carry up to sized-medium riders)

Move Types and Speed: Walk 40 ft.

Bonus Damage: +2 bonus to damage with all of the rider's melee attacks made while riding.

Carrying Capacity: 1,000 lbs.

Some mounts offer the possibility of a special ability granted to their riders, but the ability must first be unlocked by advancing the mount to a higher CR (see Advancing a Mount's CR for details). Instead of applying the point(s) of CR toward increased move speed or additional bonus damage, the point(s) of CR is applied toward unlocking the special ability.

Mounts may only ever unlock a single special ability, even if more than one is listed as available. Once a special ability has been unlocked, any other abilities are no longer available for that mount to learn.
