You empower your weapon with the might of your deity, which you discharge as you strike your foes.

Prerequisites: Paladin 16, Channel divinity class feature, Channel Smite (Feat)

Benefit: Before you make a melee attack roll, you can choose to spend one use of your channel divinity ability as a swift action.

  • If you channel positive energy and you hit an undead creature, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel divinity ability.
  • If you channel negative energy and you hit a living creature, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel divinity ability.
  • The target gets no save against this extra damage, unlike using channel divinity to damage creatures in an area around you.

Special: Greater Channel Smite lasts until the end of your current round, and the extra damage is applied to every qualifying attack you make in that round.

Special: Greater Channel Smite does NOT apply to attacks you take outside of your turn (e.g. attacks of opportunity or immediate actions).

Special: If all of your attacks miss, the channel divinity ability is not expended. You may use this feat again with those same uses of your Channel ability, at the cost of another swift action.
