Collateral Spell [Metamagic]

Prerequisites: Intensified Spell.

Benefit: A collateral spell inflicts only half damage upon targets, but double damage against unattended objects and terrain. If it has terrain-based side effects such as igniting flammable objects, it is twice as likely to do so. Any terrain affected by a collateral spell is rendered difficult until repaired.

A collateral spell uses up a spell slot four levels higher than the spell's actual level.
