'Dripping Zombie' is a pattern that can be added to any Zombie, hereafter referred to as the base creature.

A Dripping Zombie uses all of the base creature's statistics and abilities except as noted below.

CR

Same as base creature +1.

Size and Type

The creature's Size and Type do not change.

Initiative Modifier

The creature's initiative modifier increases by half the amount that its CR increases, round up.

Senses

No changes.

Armor Class

Dripping Zombies gain +2 AC. This is granted by adding to the base creatures natural armor bonus.

Hit Dice

No changes.

Defensive Ability

A Dripping Zombie gains the following abilities, which may be added to their Bestiary entry:

Aura: Once per round, when it is struck by a melee attack, a Dripping Zombie emits a splatter of vile, juicy corruption in all directions. This is a negative energy damage aura that effects all creatures within CR/10 (round down) of the Dripping Zombie's space. This damage aura inflicts 1d4 per CR of negative energy damage, and allows a CR appropriate Will save to take half damage. Note that this is negative energy, and as a result will heal undead who are within the aura.

Speed

A Dripping Zombie's base speed improves by ten feet in all movement categories it has.

Melee Attacks

A Dripping Zombie retains all the base creature's attacks, and its weapon and armor proficiencies. These attacks retain the same primary or secondary status they had for the base creature. A Dripping Zombie adds 1d6 of negative energy damage to all its melee attacks.

Damage

The base damage of all attacks does not change.

Space and Reach

No Changes.

Offensive Ability

Aside from the changes above and below, no offensive abilities.

Ability Scores
