Argent finemail smallclothes reduce indirect damage by 1 point per two BAB of the wearer, but add a 5% arcane spell chance failure. Indirect damage is any damage that includes the wearer without specifically targeting (i.e. making an attack roll against) the wearer (e.g. a Fireball spell, a dragon's breath weapon, or any other area of effect that targets "all creatures" or "all enemies" in its area).

This magic item does not require an attunement period, and grants its benefits immediately upon being worn or wielded.
