| Description | This amorphous aberration consists of a large blob of pink, scabby flesh saturated with dozens of toothy mouths and bloodshot eyes.  The creature shambles about, staring in all directions at once and uttering a non-stop litany of curses, disturbingly violent imagery, and terrible dark secrets.

: First and foremost, the gibbering mouther is completely insane.  It has little in the way of motives, but finds sentient creatures interesting enough to pay attention to them, much to their deep chagrin.  Little is known about how gibbering mouthers came to be, why they exist, how they breed, what they eat, or really anything about their ecology.  They are genuinely alien in these regards, requiring no apparent sustenance, and no evidence of young gibbering mouthers to imply some sort of reproductive cycle.  Yet their species can be found in dungeons, sewers, and other humid, enclosed areas, though they've been known to wander into surprising places, like public bath houses, as well.

One of the most striking features of an attack by a pack of Gibbering Mouthers is the way the world itself warps and reshapes around the beasts, with floors becoming soft or humping up, walls running like mud, mouths and eyes opening in surfaces to catch feet or set your footing wrong, anywhere near them. As a result of this weirdness, its unlikely that a Gibbering Mouther will be able to catch alert foes completely unaware, but spotting the actual beast amid all the worldly distortions can be an entirely different challenge, especially once their mind-bending powers start messing with the brains of...everybody.

| CombatTactics = Gibbering mouthers are intrigued by sentient creatures, and are attracted to them.  Once nearby, they will use their Gibbering ability to target a non-disoriented creature within range, and use bite attacks or their Spit ranged attack.  Once several creatures are Disoriented, the Mouther will use its Devouring Madness ability to spam damage on those afflicted for as long as it can, adding new Disoriented creatures whenever it can.
