Gloves of the Worker +1

Gloves of the Worker +1

CL 1 Hands Slot Item • Weak Transmutation
Cost: 96 gp
Weight: 1 lbs.
Family: Gloves of the Worker

These simple leather gloves are cut off at the tips of each finger, protecting most of the and and fingers, but leaving the tips free for finer work. Careful study of the gloves reveals that they are dusted in cuprium, and have a faint sheen when looked at in dim light. Oddly, this sheen vanishes in bright light, and is also undetectable by non-standard types of vision, such as darkvision, or low-light vision.

Wearing these gloves grants the wearer greater expertise with a single skill. These gloves are prized by laborers, cooks, and those still learning the ropes of their trade.

Since the bonus granted by the gloves of the worker is an Enhancement Bonus, it cannot be stacked with other skill-boosting items boosting the same skill; instead, only the highest available boost is added to a given skill. You can, however, have multiple skill boosting items that affect different skills.

While worn, these gloves grant the wearer a +1 Enhancement Bonus to a single skill, chosen at the time the gloves are acquired. Once selected, the skill affected by these gloves cannot be changed, even through the Reselection process. Instead, new gloves must be purchased.

The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 12 (10 + double CL)), Languid (tier 1) remnant, An item symbolic of the enchantment, 48 gp (minus cost of symbolic item).
