Description: Heartsight allows the possessing creature to see the aura of other living humanoid races, which gives them a vision-based form of Lifesense against humanoids, requiring line of sight, but not line of effect, to work. A creature with Heartsight can see what, to them, appears to be a pool of light around each living humanoid in range of their sense, granting the possessor the equivalent of bright light in all squares within a 10' radius (a 5x5 square area) of those humanoids. This invisible glow around humanoids can be seen by a creature with Heartsight even if there is no light at all. Any other objects, scenery, or creatures within the 10' radius of these aura-light pools is also visible, as if they were also in bright light.

Heartsight is not impeded by a humanoid's clothing, armor or equipment unless it specifically impedes line of sight (such as a tower shield).

Interestingly, if a humanoid uses invisibility (but not greater invisibility) and stealth, and a creature possessing Heartsight looks their way, they see only a 10' radius pool of bright light, with no creature in the middle. In some cases (like when no other humanoids are around), this can allow the Heartsight-possessing creature to accurately pinpoint the square in which the invisible creature is standing, though they would still treat that creature as having Total Concealment if they try to attack them. However, if other nearby humanoid creatures are casting overlapping pools of Heartsight-light, it rapidly becomes impossible to even notice that there is an extra humanoid contributing to the auras in the area.

Note that, while the range of Heartsight can increase substantially, the radius of each humanoid's visible aura never increases beyond a 10-foot radius.
