Condition Severity: Weak


   Something terrible is nearby.

Effects

  • You suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls
  • If you attempt to cast any spell with a somatic component, you must make a concentration check with a -2 penalty (vs. DC 15 + double the spell's level), or the spell fails and is wasted. If you are already making a concentration check to cast the spell (e.g. to combat cast), you need only make a single concentration check at a -2 penalty.
  • This is a fear condition.

Ended By

If the ability, trap, or effect description includes specific directions for how the condition is ended, then that is the primary means of ending this condition. In many cases, it is the only way to end the condition. If nothing is specifically listed for ending the condition, then the following methods can be used to end it, instead:

  • If you move at least 20 feet further away from the creature which caused the Nervous condition than you were when you gained the condition, the Nervous condition immediately ends. The total distance between you and the creature which inflicted Nervous must increase by 20 feet for this to end the condition.
  • If not cleared, Nervous automatically ends at the end of the encounter.
