| Description = This spell functions in any natural terrain on the [[Material Plane]]. It redirects the flow of water in the ground toward the surface at the designated point, creating a permanent water source similar to a natural spring. The spring discharges 5 gallons of pure drinking water per [[caster level]] each hour.

It creates a small pool fed by a spring, surrounded by verdant growth and food-bearing trees (nuts, dates, fruits, etc). The spring discharges 5 gallons of pure drinking water per [[caster level]] each hour.
 
: The terrain is reshaped similar to the effects of a very small Move Earth, such that there are natural defensive boundaries around the outer margins of the ''Oasis''. This may be rocky outcrops, dense thickets, craggy gorges, clusters of boulders, etc.  The defenses are a thematic fit for the surrounding inhospitable terrain as seen from the outside, so that dwellers in the ''Oasis'' are not obvious from a distance.


:If the shape of the terrain is suitable, a pond forms around the spring. If there is already a natural spring within 1 mile, its water output is reduced by an amount equal to the be a spring.
: This spell also grants protections and benefits to all who spend a full rest within it as if the entire area is warded with an [[Alarm (Sorcerer/Wizard Spell)]]. This is always the Audible warning option. In the center of the ''Oasis'' there is a comfortable dwelling, exactly as if a [[Secure Shelter (Sorcerer/Wizard Spell)]] was cast, in which the residents of the Oasis may be even more secure.  


:This spell functions differently depending on the a desert, you must succeed at a DC 25 caster level check to actually create the spring, and its output is 1 gallon of drinking water per caster level each day.
: Note than an ''Oasis'' may be cast in the area of a [[Planar Refuge (Sorcerer/Wizard Spell)]], and thus be used on other planes of existence.


:Furthermore, in dry areas, erosion may cause the flow of water to be blocked if the affected area is left untended before a sufficient amount of vegetation has grown around it to keep the soil in place. In an arctic environment, low temperatures may cause the water to freeze. In a tropical environment, parasites may contaminate the water if the spring is created in a place where the water stands in a stagnant pool.

Description

This spell functions in any natural or frontier terrain on any Material Plane. It creates a small pool fed by a spring, surrounded by verdant growth and food-bearing trees (nuts, dates, fruits, etc). The spring discharges 5 gallons of pure drinking water per caster level each hour.
The terrain is reshaped similar to the effects of a very small Move Earth, such that there are natural defensive boundaries around the outer margins of the Oasis. This may be rocky outcrops, dense thickets, craggy gorges, clusters of boulders, etc. The defenses are a thematic fit for the surrounding inhospitable terrain as seen from the outside, so that dwellers in the Oasis are not obvious from a distance.
