All standard-action spells can be cast as the first attack of a Full Attack Action, the second or other attacks in the Full Attack used for melee attacks, ranged attacks, five-foot steps, or other actions, and then a second spell still cast as a Swift action with the use of this feat.

You can cast spells in a fraction of the normal time.

Prerequisites: Caster Level 11

Related: Multispell (Feat), Quicken Spell, Automatic (Feat)

Benefit: You may use this feat once per round to cast a spell which normally requires a standard action, as a swift action. You can perform other actions, even casting another spell, in the same round as you cast a quickened spell, as long as you have adequate actions left to do so.

  • All standard-action spells can be cast as the first attack of a Full Attack Action, the second or other attacks in the Full Attack used for melee attacks, ranged attacks, five-foot steps, or other actions, and then a second spell still cast as a Swift action with the use of this feat.
  • Weirdly enough, you can even use this feat on a spell that is cast as an Immediate action, and it actually slows it down to a swift action, thus allowing two Immediate action spells to also be cast in the same round. You can combine a Standard Action spell with a Quickened Spell and an Immediate Spell in the same round, if you wish.
  • A spell whose casting time is more than 1 round (a Ritual) or is a full-round action (a True Dweomer cast normally) cannot be quickened.
  • Special: Casting a quickened spell doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity.
  • You can apply the effects of this feat to a spell cast spontaneously, so long as it has a casting time that is not more than 1 standard action.
  • If you use Quicken Spell, you do NOT have to always cast a second spell in the same round, which is a way to safely cast spells while threatened without the need for Caster Checks.

Level Increase: +4 (A quickened spell uses up a spell slot four levels higher than the spell's actual level.)
