Rent Asunder
Prerequisites: Proficiency with a sunder weapon
Benefits: This feat grants a +2 bonus on Combat Maneuver Checks to make sunder attempts in addition to the bonus granted by the sunder property. You can also ignore up to 10 points of hardness when smashing unattended objects. The hardness of an item so targeted cannot be reduced below 5 by this effect.
Special: Weapons made from special materials grant the ability to ignore hardness up to a certain level (up to 20, in the case of Adamantine). The sunder property and this feat reduce the object's effective hardness when determining whether the special material can ignore the hardness or not. For example, if attacking a wall with a hardness of 30, the combination of an Adamantine sunder weapon and this feat would allow the wielder to completely ignore the hardness of the wall. An Adamantine sunder weapon without this feat that attacked the same wall with hardness 30 would face an adjusted hardness of 25, and the Adamantine material of the weapon would not provide any benefit since that hardness is too high.
Normal: The sunder property only allows you to ignore up to 5 hardness of an unattended object.
