You can summon better, albeit scarier, versions of creatures.

Prerequisites: Level 21

Benefit: When you cast a Summon spell yourself (which may include use of a magic item), you may summon a creature whose adjusted CR (challenge rating) is greater than your own character level. Feats which allow you to apply a pattern to a summoned monster (and increase its effective CR) are no longer limited by your character level.

Normal: You cannot summon a creature whose CR (challenge rating) exceeds your character level. In such a case, the CR (challenge rating) is reduced to equal your character level.
