Hrrrm. I suppose it could?  I always thought of staccato being a sharp, precise sort of thing, but we could go that way if you like it better. I would really prefer to leave it to individual GM's, but our playtester is a bit of a rules lawyer. Which is kind of awesome, the bard writeup is solid now. :D

Ugh.

I'm wimping out on this one. Reese, want to poke at it when you get a minute? :D

Hrrrm. I suppose it could? I always thought of staccato being a sharp, precise sort of thing, but we could go that way if you like it better. I would really prefer to leave it to individual GM's, but our playtester is a bit of a rules lawyer. Which is kind of awesome, the bard writeup is solid now. :D

Bard Example Build

(Probably not actually a legal build; needs reviewed; keeping it here in case we get around to building a viable sample build later, so we can steal ideas from this one)

15 point buy: Str 11, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 12, Wis 8, Cha 15, 20 point buy: Str 12, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 12, Wis 9, Cha 16, 25 point buy: Str 12, Dex 14, Con 14, Int 13, Wis 10, Cha 16,

Celegian Human stat mods: +2 Dex. +2 Cha, -2 Wis

Example Feats

1st Level: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot. Harmony is a ray, rays are weapons, these feats work with harmony.

3rd Level: Flagbearer. +1 morale bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saving throws against fear and charm effects for the team.

5th Level: Prodigy. Free skills

7th Level: Spellsong. Sing, and cast a spell to boot, and then maintain the spell and cast ANOTHER one. So awesome.

9th Level: Compelling Performance. Start controlling the battlefield.

11th Level: Discordant Voice. Your singing can break glass. Or walls.

13th Level: Prodigy. More free skills

15th Level: Improved Compelling Performance. Oh hell yeah, SO worth it.

17th Level: Improved Initiative. Going sooner in the combat round makes for more contrl.

19th Level: Uncanny Concentration. You can perform in a mosh pit.

This build is a high damage bard that also has seriously good buffing/debuffing potential via spellsong. You will be hitting a LOT with Harmony, and your discordant voice keeps the party doing extra damage. This is a potent addition to any party.
