Thought Eaters are well-suited to feed on spellcasters, as they have defenses against the effects of spells and even destroy a caster's ability with spells at the same time. If you are attacked by these awful things, stab them. Spells are of little use.

'Gourmet' is a mocking term of disrespect when applied to a Thought Eater, but it is easy to tell a Gourmet from a lesser Thought Eater, because Gourmets are as large as a full-grown wolf, rather than small. Aside from their larger size, Gourmets are much, much stronger and more dangerous, but otherwise should be handled much like normal Thought Eaters.

Aside from their larger size, Gourmets appear far more 'skeletal' than lesser breeds, their flesh both meager and extremely translucent, their eyes so transparent as to be effectively invisible. How they can even see at all with transparent eyes is only one of their manifold weirdness's. Gourmets are much, much stronger and far more more dangerous, but otherwise should be handled much like normal Thought Eaters.
