Threatening

  • Price: +3 bonus
  • Aura moderate illusion; CL 21sth; Weight

This special ability can only be placed on melee weapons.

A threatening weapon helps allies deal with flanks. While being wielded in active combat, a threatening weapon adds five feet to your threatened area. This is not reach, it will not allow you to actually attack any further away. It does allow you to threaten while further away.

When the wielder threatens any creature that is being flanked by an ally, the flanking bonus on attack rolls for all flanking allies increases by +2. This ability works even if the wielder is not one of the characters flanking the creature, and even if the wielder is not adjacent to the flanked creature.

  • Craft Magic Arms and Armor, phantasmal killer; Cost +3 bonus
