Warcraft (Special; Trained Only)

Only Brawlers, Fighters, and Warlords may learn this skill. No other class may place ranks in it.

You have a practical knowledge of all things related to conflict. Warcraft is a muscular, 'get things done' skill. In any circumstance where a Knowledge (Engineering) skill check is required, this skill may be used in its place.

At the time the player places her first ranks in this skill, she must select either Strength, Constitution, or Dexterity, and use that ability modifier as the key ability modifier for this skill. Note that this skill is subject to Armor Check Penalties if Strength or Dexterity is chosen! Once selected, this ability modifier may not be changed.

Check

Warcraft is used to simulate your ability at being a martially oriented person. Warcraft isn't a thing of book learning, Warcraft is that feeling you get in your gut, that solid certainty that 'this way' is right and 'that way' is wrong. With Warcraft, you can anticipate combat maneuvers, get the jump on fights, handle siege engines, engineer and assess fortifications and defenses, assault fortifications and defenses, and make magic items.

General Checks

Warcraft can be used with siege engines exactly as Knowledge:Engineering. Indeed, Warcraft can be used in any situation where Knowledge:Engineering can be used. Yes, Warcraft can be used to build roads and sewers and buildings, just as well as it can destroy and exploit them.

Warcraft can be used to gain knowledge about Combat Maneuvers being used in combat. Make a Warcraft roll against a DC of the enemy's CMB to know what Maneuver is being used against you. If you make this roll, you gain +2 CMD against that Maneuver.

Warcraft grants a +1 Initiative for every ten ranks you have in the skill.

Warcraft can be used as a general "good at combat" skill. In a fight, a Warcraft roll can be used to gain a hint from the referee. The difficulty of this check is set by the GM, as are the results. Be wary of this, as the GM is encouraged to allow you to guess wrong if the die roll is bad.

Warcraft can be used to make magic items if you take the Creator feat. Warcraft gives you an Effective Caster Level equal to your number of ranks you have in Warcraft, with a maximum of your eligible class level. See the Magic Item Creation rules for details.

Beseige

You can use Warcraft to assess the defenses of a place. This takes 1d4 hours per level of the Settlement Size chart in the Merchants page. The DC varies, but will generally be 10+ twice the size level of the settlement for easy checks, or 20 + twice the size level of the settlement for harder checks, to extremely high for devastating information indeed. This can be used on either the offense or the defense side of a siege.

Generalship

Warcraft can be used to improve how well you lead a combat unit of NPC's. If you are the leader of a military style unit in a battle, you may roll a Warcraft check against a DC of 10+the CR of the campaign to inspire your troops in battle. If you succeed, you grant a +1 Circumstance bonus to all the damage rolls of your led troops.

Try Again

You cannot use Warcraft to re-try the same test. Get it right, or get it hilariously wrong, you're sure this is the way to get this done.
