Casting
- Casting Time: True Dweomers require a Full-Round Action to cast normally.
- You may optionally roll a Caster Check to attempt to Fast Cast this True Dweomer as a Standard Action.
- If your roll equals or exceeds a DC of 47, you Fast Cast it as a Standard Action.
- If your roll is a non-1 result between 38 and 46, you cast it as a Full-Round Action, as normal.
- If your roll is less than 38, or you roll a natural 1 on the die, the spell is cast at half damage, treated as though all targets succeeded on their saving throws, or it deals only half its effect.
- True Dweomers can be cast as rituals, requiring a 1 hour casting time. The area of effect or number of targets is multiplied by 10. The range of the spell is doubled if it is longer than Touch.

Description
You hold an iron spike, pondering on the mysteries of metal. Iron is the lowliest of metals, black and ugly, yet, iron is also the king of metals, ubiquitous and essential. What is the key thing that makes iron so masterful? As the power of this True Dweomer infuses the iron you grasp, you realize, that it is cruelty. Iron is the metal of bars and bonds and shackles, the metal of pain writ large, scrawled upon the bleeding fabric of nations and continents. As this understanding floods you, it empowers the iron you grasp, and you send it forth to share.
The iron spike you grasp glows the color of bruises and agony, the rune dire and dreadful to behold. You hurl the spike as a ray attack, targeting a creature within range of the Working and to which you have line of sight and line of effect. If you strike the target with this ranged touch attack, they suffer (Strata 1 damage): 1d6+6 points of damage per character level (max 35d6+210 at character level 35) of Spindling (physical, rare) damage, and far worse, the screaming agony of the Cruel Iron inflicts the Entangled condition upon your victim.
Synergy: If the Entangled condtion laid by this True Dweomer is overwritten by another status condition before it is removed or lowered to a lesser condition, the target suffers (Strata 1 damage): 1d6+6 points of damage per character level (max 35d6+210 at character level 35) of Ripping (physical, uncommon) damage as the Cruel Iron is forced out of their flesh or other matter.
