Bracers of Armor +1
- Cost: 1,350 gp
- Weight: 5 lbs.
- Family: Bracers of Armor
Bracers are items that attach to the wrists and forearms of the wearer, ranging in size from delicate filigree bracelets so fine they are barely there to huge iron-barreled arm-guards that reach from knuckles to neck, and every variation inbetween. They can be made of leather, cloth, metals, and can be finely made or crude, brutish things. Every type of decoration and adornment can be found on a bracer, such as inlays, intaglios, engravings, inlet stones of all varieties, and many others.
Bracers of Armor tend to the heavier, more martial sorts of appearance, although that's certainly not an absolute rule. Bracers of Armor cannot make use of Dweomermetals, nor can they be enchanted with Armor Magic Properties. Furthermore, anyone wearing Bracers of Armor cannot gain an Armor Enhancement Bonus to their AC from a second source, since stacking of bonuses of the same type is not allowed. Specifically, wearing a magical suit of armor and bracers of armor at the same time doesn't work. Weirdly enough, wearing a non-magical suit of armor and Bracers of Armor DOES work, which is simply more proof that magic is weird and makes your head hurt if you think about it too hard....
The owner of this magic item must wear it continuously for 24 hours to attune it to their aura, and until that time has passed, it provides no benefits to the wearer.
- Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 14 (10 + double CL)), Languid (tier 1) remnant, An item symbolic of the enchantment, 675 gp (minus cost of symbolic item).
