Game 10 - Assassin Vines??

No XP Assigned from the last sessions fight or quests as yet. (Total XP is 24,000 based on chart migration).

So..the intrepid party found an Assassin's Vine grove...six pairs of vines are arrayed before us.

After a brisk fight, we are left covered in leaves, sap, and soot.

We examine the area - some of the assassin vines have fruit - they are a delicacy. We spend an hour picking vines. (3 on watch and 3 picking)

We use haversacks and Sir Edric's horse to carry the berries.

Loot

5 bushels of assassin vine berries (1800 gp a bushel x 5 = 9000 gp)

Onwards

We continue on tracking down the orcs. Following the path down, it ends at the bottom of the bluff. A swampy area off to the left. There are tracks in the mud that are small and lizardly - goblin tracks - chained together. We tread into the swamp. We hear the faint sounds of wood cutting ahead.

Vellum sneaks ahead. There were burning orc boats. There are now a pile of orc boat parts - one completed boat - and 2 more under construction.

Vellum returns and tells us what she saw. We decide to return to town to report on what we saw.

We report to the Ologa (Head of Town Watch) on what we saw. The Ologa says the tall big things sound like Hobgoblin Torturers. Based on that, she thinks she'll need the Legions. Luckily, there is a Man O'War here - General Snow.

Supposedly her heart is made of snow. No soul what-so-ever. She seeks out and puts down problem - Internal Security. She's here due to an Arrakanza Resumption about to occur to the realm to the north.

When the current Emperor was put on the throne 121 years ago, General Snow was named a Vocat on a competing Emperor's team. Supposedly the Emperor bribed Snow to "backstab" her team.

Since then, she is one of the most heavily punished General's in the Empire. Out of 121 years, General Snow has spent 74 years in punishment temples.

The Ologa puts a second in command and heads off.

Vellum checks with "her guy" on where we can sell ripe Assassin Berry's. She is directed to a Exotic Foods selling store owned by Halfings. We get 1800 gp / bushel.

Evening Time

By the time we report to the Ologa, sell the berries, split the funds, give a report to the Imperial bureaucracy, it is evening. We go to visit the Grove of Daneth to clean up. They welcome us with open arms.
