Born Under A Bad Sign (Su)

Requires: Barbarian 1, Superstitious Mien
Benefit: You carry an auspicious mark, as indicated by an impressive tattoo, scar, birthmark, or eerie or unusual feature (strange eyes, feathers for hair, clawed nails, a withered but fully functional limb, etc.). Once per round as a free action, you can activate Born Under A Bad Sign, allowing you to immediately roll a d6. You may add the result of the d6 roll to one d20 roll you make before the start of your next turn. You can declare your use of Born Under A Bad Sign after seeing the result of your d20 roll, as long as the roll is made before the start of your next turn. You may also activate Born Under A Bad Sign in anticipation of a d20 roll you might need to make before the start of your next turn. (Of course, if this d20 roll fails to occur, the activation of this power is wasted.)

Progression:

  • 11th Level: The d6 bonus improves by +1 (not +1d6) for every two experience tiers of the barbarian class you possess after the first (i.e. 1d6+1 at Barbarian level 11, 1d6+2 at Barbarian level 21, and 1d6+3 at Barbarian level 31).
  • 21st Level: Activating Born Under A Bad Sign allows you to add the bonus to up to two d20 rolls you make before the start of your next turn.
  • 31st Level: When you activate this rage power, you add the result of the d6 roll to all damage rolls you make during your current turn (in addition to adding it to a d20 roll).
