Eater of Magic (Ex)

Requires: Barbarian 1, Superstitious Mien
Benefit: Once per round as a free action, you can become more resistant to magic. Until the start of your next turn, the first time you are targeted or affected by a spell, spell-like, or supernatural ability, you can roll the saving throw twice against the effect and choose the best result.

Progression:

  • 11th Level: If you succeed against the saving throw with both die rolls, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the effect's caster level (in the case of spell or spell-like abilities) or half the CR of the effect's creator (in the case of supernatural abilities). As with any temporary hit points, they do not stack with other temporary hit points. Instead, if the new temporary hit points are greater than any existing, they replace the existing temporary hit points. Note that these temporary hit-points appear instantly, before any damage inflicted upon you is calculated, which has the result of lowering the damage you suffer by the number of the temporary hit points.
  • 21st Level: If you succeed on a saving throw against a spell, spell-like or supernatural ability while this rage power is active, you may immediately slide up to 15 feet without provoking attacks of opportunity.
  • 31st Level: If you succeed against the saving throw with either die rolled, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the effect's caster level (in the case of spell or spell-like abilities) or half the CR of the effect's creator (in the case of supernatural abilities).
