Despite its name, holy damage can come from any divine source, regardless of alignment. Clerics that worship a particularly powerful, ascended demon can still channel holy damage to punish unbelievers. It is holy to them, even if it seems unholy to you. Holy damage is energy damage, and due to its apotheotic origins, it is particularly difficult to resist.
