You put yourself in danger’s path to save your allies.

You put yourself in danger's path to save your allies.

Prerequisites: Level 16, Bodyguard (Feat)

Benefit: While using the Aid Another action (either normally, or as a result of a use of the Bodyguard feat) to improve an adjacent ally's AC, you can intercept a successful attack against that ally as an immediate action, and the attack roll is resolved against you. If it hits, you take the damage and any other effects from the attack, instead of your ally. Hit or miss, your ally only suffers effects from the attack if it has an area of effect which would still include them even though the attack is now centered on you. A creature cannot benefit from this feat more than once per round.

Special: You gain a +1 to-hit and base weapon damage against any foe whose attack you have intercepted as above. This bonus lasts until the end of the encounter or the foe dies.
