Infernal Core (Su)

Requires: Barbarian 1, Primal Mien
Benefit: Once per round as a free action, you can exude the radiant, terrible heat of the volcano's heart. All creatures adjacent to you take fire (energy, common) damage equal to your WIS modifier plus your barbarian level. There is no saving throw or to-hit roll for this effect. Note that this rage power does not discriminate between friends and enemies. Use carefully!

Progression:

  • 11th Level: The radius of Infernal Core increases to 10 feet. You may choose to have the radius remain only 5 feet, if you prefer, though you must declare this when you activate the rage power.
  • 21st Level: The damage dealt by Infernal Core is instead equal to your WIS modifier, plus your barbarian level multiplied by the number of experience tiers you possess in the barbarian class. (For example, a level 21 barbarian with a 16 Wisdom, just entering their fifth experience tier, would deal 108 points of fire damage. This is calculated by taking their WIS mod of +3 and adding their level times their tier to it (21 x 5) when triggering this rage power.)
  • 31st Level: The energy type of Infernal Core changes to Darkfire (energy, rare). You may always choose to deal only fire damage instead.
