Returning (Melee Weapon Magic Property)

Enchant Cost: +0

This special ability can only be placed on melee weapons that are designed to be thrown (that is, a melee weapon that has a numeric value in its Range column). Weapons with the Throwing property are also eligible for this property. A returning weapon teleports instantly back to the creature that threw it immediately after it strikes its target. This allows the thrower to make multiple attacks during a full attack action with a single returning weapon. Catching a returning weapon when it comes back is a free action. If the character can't catch it, or if the character has moved since throwing it, the weapon drops to the ground in the square from which it was thrown.

Special: Enchanted thrown weapons (i.e. at least a +1 enhancement bonus on the weapon) gain this property for free if desired. Further properties on the thrown weapon do not cost more because of this free property. This property cannot be applied to ammunition or any weapon with the expendable quality.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 16), a languid remnant (tier 1), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
