Rod Whisperer (Feat)

You can cast spells from rods with greater efficacy than most.

Prerequisites: Level 6, Use Magic Device 6 ranks

Benefit: Upon gaining this feat, you add a +2 feat bonus to the effective Creator Level (CL) of any rod you are wielding, or all rod effects contained within a staff you are wielding. This will likely increase the potency of the spell cast from the rod (or staff), as well as possibly increasing the saving throw DC (assuming the spell in question allows a saving throw). The bonus to CL granted by this feat stacks with bonuses from magic items you may possess that also boost the potency of the rod or staff you are wielding (such as that granted by the Mechanists Lappet).

Special: Upon reaching character level 16, this feat grants a +3 feat bonus to the effective Creator Level (instead of +2) of a rod (or a rod effect that is within a staff). Upon reaching character level 31, the feat grants a +4 feat bonus to the effective Creator Level (instead of +3).
