new rule: monsters can't have professions.  They don't have the spark, they don't work jobs, they don't generate income from their labors (at least not in currency that civilized races would accept), so no professions. While it does add some interesting color to say an Ogre has "Profession (Butcher)", I couldn't figure out how to make professions work in the template without 600,000 lines of code, so I'm not doing it.  If you write a monster with a profession, it won't show up, no matter what you do. So don't.
roger that, no professions for monsters, and if we want flavor, keep it in a text block. :)  I've been working on campaign stuff to stay out of your way with edits, but i was going to start converting the rest of the patterns to the new format, but I see you've been updating that template quite a bit, should I hold off?  I can tinker on items or true dweomers or ....well... lots of other stuff if that's easier :)
