Trouncing (Shield Magic Property)

Enchant Cost: +9 (epic)

You must be level 21 or higher to equip, wield or wear an item with this property.

This property allows the wielder of the shield to perform a Shield Bash as a swift action or as an immediate action, up to once per round. It can be used to perform a normal Shield Bash instead (as an attack action), but you can never perform more than one combat maneuver in the same round.

A Trouncing shield deals +50 points of Base Weapon Damage when used to perform a Shield Bash. Base weapon damage is multiplied when you reach a new experience tier (i.e., it improves to +100 at level 6, +150 at level 11, +200 at level 16, +250 at level 21, +300 at level 26, and +350 at level 31). Base weapon damage is usually multiplied on a critical hit, since it is NOT bonus damage, but Combat Maneuvers cannot normally crit. Base weapon damage always stacks with any other source of base weapon damage.

Only Light Shields, Heavy Shields, and War Shields can have this ability; Bucklers and Tower Shields may not.

Creation: Creator (Feat), Epic Creator (Feat), Bailiwick Check (DC 72), a mythic remnant (tier 8), and an item symbolic of the enchantment.
