You can convert any spell into an attack.

Prerequisites: Arcane Caster Level 16

Benefit: As a standard action, the caster can sacrifice a prepared spell or unused spell slot of 1st level or higher and transform it into a ray, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This attack deals a base of 1d6 points of rare energy damage (the caster gets to choose the type of damage every time they use this feat) plus the spell or spell slot sacrificed (1st to 17th), which is then multiplied by the Arcane Caster Level of the caster sacrificing the spell (16 to 35+). 0-level spells may not be sacrificed in this manner.

For example, if a 21st level Sorcerer elects to sacrifice a ninth-level spell slot (which they have obviously not already used), they produce an Arcane Blast of any Rare energy type they choose, with a range of 30 feet, that inflicts 1d6+9 (base damage) per caster level (they are caster level 21), for a total blast of 21d6+189. (Yikes!)

Any abilities, powers, items, feats, or skills that apply to ray attacks likewise apply to the ray produced by the use of this feat. Note that Metamagic Feats specifically do NOT apply to the results of this feat. (Alas, you cannot Quicken this feat and do it twice in a round.)

This is a supernatural ability and does not provoke attacks of opportunity, nor does it require a Caster Check to cast defensively, even if you are threatened by one or more enemies. This ability is unaffected (not stopped) by Spell Resistance. The damage of this ability can be reduced with Energy Resistance, but the caster can easily choose a type of energy to bypass any resistance less than ER/-. This ability cannot be mana burned, since it does not have a damage Circle.
