Bloodspatter (Ex)

Requires: Barbarian 1, Feral Mien
Benefit: Once per round as a free action, you can activate Bloodspatter to splatter blood into the eyes of nearby foes. If your next attack hits its target, you can select one creature within your reach that is adjacent to the creature you just struck (it cannot be the same creature you just struck). This adjacent creature suffers the Dazzled condition until the start of your next turn. There is no to-hit roll or saving throw for this effect. Creatures that do not possess any sight-based senses are unaffected by Bloodspatter.

Progression:

  • 11th Level: The target of Bloodspatter must make a save vs. a DC of 10 + half your barbarian level + your CHA modifier, or they become Blind to all sight-based and scent-based senses until the start of your next turn. If they succeed on the save, they are instead Dazzled until the start of your next turn.
  • 21st Level: The target of Bloodspatter suffers the Blind condition to all sight-based and scent-based senses until the start of your next turn. (There is no longer a save vs. the Blind effect.)
  • 31st Level: The target of Bloodspatter must make a save vs. a DC of 10 + half your barbarian level + your CHA modifier, or they become Fogged until the start of your next turn. If they succeed on the save, they are instead Blind on all sight-based and scent-based senses until the start of your next turn.
